"Peace" LO for challenge at Swirlydoos

This lo is for the Christmas LO-Regular photo challenge at Swirlydoos. I used the beautiful Divine Noel kit from Swirlydoos of course. It has the most beautiful Christmas paper from Bo Bunny, IOD, Petaloo flowers and lots more swirly goodness for the holidays!

The challenge was to make a Christmas themed layout using a regular photo. But your title had to be a Christmas theme title as well. So this is what I came up with. My beautiful daughter. Ok...so she doesn't give me much peace and quiet, but she sure gives me a peace knowing that God has entrusted me with such a wonderful daughter!

I made a Christmas flower cluster and made a Christmas fragment using Tim Holtzs goodies.

I had actually screwed up so I had to cover the top of the photo with something, so I used some  flower border I had. I also cut around the inside of the edges of one of the papers, added some butterflies found here at Lisa's butterfly thread at Swirlydoos. So here a few close ups to see the dimension of the layout.

Well thanks for stopping by! I'm off today to make some more Swirly goodness...and if I don't get anything on here before Christmas, I hope that all of you have a Merry Merry Christmas!!!

Till next time, Happy Scrappin!!

"Divine Noel" Butterfly Challenge at Swirlydoos..

This lo titled "Snowflake Kisses" is for the Divine Noel Butterfly Challenge that Angelica is hosting at Swirlydoos. Lisa Gregory has made some fabulous butterflies for the Dec kit,  to use this month!! Most of this lo was made with products from the kit or from the Swirlydoos Store.

I'm not going into alot of detail due to the fact I've got first week in the Round Robin Challenge and I've got to get busy!! I would like to note that the little white roses are handmade from Alda Steven's Flying Unicorn Scrapbooking Store. She really does have some very cool stuff there!

Well thank you so much for stopping in!! I've got to get busy so till next time, Happy Scrappin!!

A couple of Swirly Challenge Layouts~

I love the challenges at Swirlydoos! Each one just puts your creativity on overdrive and there is SO much inspiration there! These two lo's were for 2 different challenges over at SD's. The first one is one that Lisa aka Raining is hosting for December. It's a Winter White Challenge. You have to scrap a spring photo using an all white Winter theme. This was seriously a lot of fun for me. I love white lo's..they look so peaceful and dreamy. I used a Dusty Attic piece bought at the Swirlydoos store, Glimmer Misted some white flowers I had and made some other white flowers using one of Lisa's Gregory's flower tutorials. Take a look:
I used the water distressing technique that Robin shared at Swirlydoos. and the ribbon technique is one I saw on Gabrielle Pollaco's blog  awhile ago.

The next lo is for the Round Robin Challenge @ Swirlydoos.

I was last in the group and had some amazing teammates! You never think you'll be able to do as good as a job as the person before you..but they're so fun to join!!

Well gotta run to work now. I so appreciate everyone who stops by and your comments. I thank each and everyone of you!! Till next time, Happy Scrappin!

Irresistible Sketch Challenge at Swirlydoos!!

This layout I did for the November sketch challenge at Swirlydoos. I love this kit. It was filled with the most beautiful papers and goodies..yes I know I've said that before. But if you have never tried a Swirly kit, I totally recommend it!

I used the piece of cardboard that came with the kit, and took the top layer off. Swiped some Picket Fence Crackle Paint and gave it a Glimmer Misting before putting the rest together. I did notice that it somewhat curled from the misting, so if anyone has a tip on how to make that NOT happen, please let me know. I used some mist on the round frame and added the pearls for a pretty touch. I made the flowers using Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die. Gotta love Tim. I Smooched the corrugated letters, and painted the Dusty Attic piece with Snow Cap Dabber Paint.

Well thanks for stopping by!! I hope each and everyone of you have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving! Thank you also for your comments! I read them all and so appreciate that you take the time to do so.

Till next time, Happy Scrappin!!

New Layout for Swirlydoos Butterfly Challenge!!

Hello scrapping friends!!

I did this lo for Ang's butterfly challenge at Swirlydoos. It's a picture of my favorite Uncle and my most favorite Grandmother. I miss them both so much.

I used the acrylic piece that came with a previous Swirly kit. I stamped the tree and mesh stamp with Snow Cap Dabber Paint first. I then used Liquid Pearls and added some Prima bling. I made a few of the flowers too. The pink ones are from Lisa Gregory's Retro Flower Tutorial . The small white roses I did using Vicky's tutorial on her blog, Simply Paper. They're both really easy and fun to do!! The beautiful cherry blossom vine, I got from Angelica's Etsy Shop which you'll find thru her blog. The little fence was given to me by another scrapping buddy, Maggi.

Here are a few close ups to share:

Since this was my first time doing an acrylic lo...I'm sure it's not as good as it could be, but since this is one of my favorite pictures I think it makes the lo even more beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you'll get your creativity flowing this weekend and stop by Swirlydoos for some fun challenges if you can!!

Till next time, Happy Scrappin!

**More Swirly Goodness**

I'm still making layouts using the new November kit from Swirlydoos! It is just so full of goodies that just want to make you be creative. I thought some of this paper would make a beautiful wedding lo..so I went to Facebook, snagged one of my dear friends wedding photos, (she doesn't know yet) and proceeded to go to work. Her wedding was just super gorgeous and I thought this picture would be just perfect with the Dusty Attic clock piece as well.

I made some of the flowers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die..those are so fun! I also printed out the butterflies from Lisa's thread at Swirlydoos. She always has the best butterflies to share with each new kit that comes out. I'll just post a couple of close ups to share:
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate everyone who takes the time to stop by and check things out. Hope you'll be creative this weekend!

God Bless and till next time...Happy Scrappin!

**Swirydoos** "So Surreal" Fairy Layout

Even though this is a picture of my daughter in her Halloween costume, I couldn't help but think how great it would look with the new Swirlydoos kit "Irresistible". Well that and a little photo editing ;) So here is the result:

The kit came with some ink resist paper that is super cool to work with. I used Forest Moss and Victorian Velvet Distress inks on the paper.
The Dusty Attic Chipboard Tree was Glimmer Misted and then I added some mini roses and falling leaves. I also used a couple of different flower tutorials from Lisa Gregory's blog.

When I punched the side of the paper, I added the photo and then folded the loops over onto the picture to make it look more 'framed'
I added Liquid Pearls and more flowers and some ribbon to make a small cluster of pretties.

The butterflies can also be found HERE at the forum. Click on butterflies to find them all!

There is much more to do with this kit...so till next time..Happy Scrappin!!

**Swirlydoos November Kit** and some Prima Flora!

Oh am I loving the new November kit from Swirlydoos! It is filled with beautiful paper, Prima flowers, Teresa Collins metal frames...and MUCH MUCH MORE!! You have to see it for yourself to believe what an awesome kit this is...well they're all awesome!

For my first lo with the new kit, I scrapped a new pic of my daughter. She got her first set of glasses and I think she looks Fabulous!!
This lo was also made for Ang's butterfly challenge at Swirlydoos. Swirly challenges are so fun and brings out your creativity. I used the water distressing technique for the paper that Robin at Swirlydoos did a tutorial on. It's very cool. I also made a couple of the flowers using Lisa Gregory's tutorial. She has awesome ways to make your own flowers.
I ordered some Dusty Attic chipboard from Swirlydoos also and thought the bird bath was perfect for this lo!
The butterflies are made by Lisa at Swirlydoos to match the kit. Every month she does this and they are just full of color! CLICK HERE to see them. I printed them out, and after I cut the ones I wanted out, used UTEE on them. I added Liquid Pearls around the butterflies. Here are a few pics...

I also got some beautiful new Prima Flora paper from my LSS. Been wanting to work with it, so I did this real quick

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll get your creativity flowing soon! Till next time, Happy Scrappin!
