Halloween Party
Well the big night will start at 6:00! I hope to get lots of pictures to scrapbook this weekend!! Every year at work, we host a big Halloween Party for all the kids and the community..but this year the community can't attend due to the flu restrictions. However, I am hoping it'll still be a blast and the kids will love the decorations we did!

Halloween is coming!
Halloween is coming and with that..I've been very very busy at work. We always have a huge party/dance for the kids there and invite the community as well. Although, this year, due to the flu restrictions we can not have anyone from the community attend..such a bummer. We go all out at our Halloween bash and of course that keeps me very busy at this time. This year's theme is "Twisted Fairy Tales". I can't wait until I can start scrapping Halloween pictures this weekend!! My daughter is going to be Alice in Wonderland so I'll be posting soon.

Fun..fun..fun!
The online scrap was loads of fun. It kept you on your toes!! Fun games and challenges made for a great weekend! I was excited and humbled when I saw that one of my LO's was picked for LO of the week. I was very honored! Wow!! Would never expect that. It's a great site and forum for those who love scrapping. Be sure to stop by Pages In Time. You can find their link on my blog here.
Here is the Halloween Card I did for one of the challenges. You had to do a halloween card or LO with a title of a Halloween movie or song...

Fall colors
This is a lo I did for a fall challenge. My daughter and one of her bf's at our lake cabin. I used the Tim Holtz flourish mask on the tag to pretty it up a little. I also TRIED to use some embossing powder on the flourish grungeboard..which really didn't work out..didn't dry right, but I kind of liked the effect it gave so I kept it.

New Vintage Layout
Here is a new layout I did for a challenge at Pages in Time.
It's a picture of my mother in law when she was younger.

Still fighting the battle of the flu..
Well we're on day 2 of the flu. My poor daughter. Fever keeps coming back..and as soon as I give her the Motrin and that kicks in, she thinks she's all better..until 4 hours later when it returns. I'm thankful that I haven't gotten it..hopefully I won't. I still don't know how someone can be so sick, yet be so sassy at the same time..lol. I think I'll be working on my Vintage scrapbook page today for the challenge at Pages in Time..just have to wait till she falls asleep.

The Flu Bug
Well we thought the flu would bypass our house since we've been doing pretty well so far..but no such luck!! My 10 yr old is at home with it. ugh. I just pray that I don't get it and I'm keeping a can of Lysol around me at all times.

Newbie News
Since I'm new at the whole blogging thing..this may take me some time to figure out..lol. I have several friends who blog, though theirs are mainly family orientated. Of course mine will focus on scrapbooking and other crafty things. I have to say I did get inspired to start this by visiting another scrapbookers blog. Hers is much prettier than mine is..lol but I hope to get this up and going very soon. You can check out her blog at: www.fablady.blogspot.com
