"Wish" layout using Websters paper

Hello Scrapping friends!

Hope you all are doing well!

I want to share with you a new lo I did using a picture of my handsome nephew Campbell. This pic of him is at the strawberry patch and he has a Dandelion in his hand..making a wish I 'm sure! I used Websters "Garden Gala" paper for the base. Now I have to say that I totally got inspired making this lo by an amazing scrapper Joc and her layout "Linked by Love" at Scrapbook.com. I love the way she had this 3d shadowbox effect going on. Click on the link and you'll see what I mean.

I used Utee on the butterflies which are from my very talented scrapping buddy Lisa Gregory. If you go to her blog you'll find the link where she shares all kinds of butterflies for you to download!! Also you'll find her flower tutorials which are very easy to follow.

Here are some close ups..I made the birdcage and the plants from my Cricut.

Well that is all for now! Now back to the scrapping room for some more.........

Till next time,
Happy Scrappin!

More Shabby Ambition!

Hello scrapping friends!

It's been awhile since I posted any layouts...been on vacation...so as soon as I got back, I started working with more of my Swirlydoos Shabby Ambition kit! This is a photo of my son, now 18, when he was about 5 months old. I love his big blue eyes and chubby cheeks.
I of course used Gabrielle Pollacco's ribbon weaving technique and Lisa Gregory's kick a$$ flower technique. I love Lisa's tutorials...they're always so easy to follow. The kit came with this beautiful lace ribbon which I framed the top and the bottom of the pic with what I had left over. The pictures did come out a bit dark, sorry about that!!

Well I am off to scrap some more!! I have lots to catch up on!!

Till next time...happy scrappin!

A couple of layouts to share..Using Swirlydoos August kit!

All I can say about Swirlydoos new August Kit-Shabby Ambition is GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS!! I totally love how Swirlydoos puts together such fantastic combination kits. They seem to 'fit' my style perfectly! For the first layout, I chose to do a photo of me and my son when he was about 3 weeks old. I have scrapped this pic before for my son, who is now 18, but wanted one for me. I love the picture and will treasure it always. So have a looksie!!
Now most of the products used here are from the Swirlydoos kit,  except, the butterfly, and of course the handmade flowers.

I heard a song awhile ago that reminded me of my feelings for my son from the day he was born. It's called "In My Arms" and it's sung by Plumb. If you have never heard it, and would like to, CLICK HERE. I love the lyrics. I'll post them in a minute..on with close ups..
I used Vintage Photo Distress ink on just about everything, and used UTEE on the smaller butterfly, which I got from Lisa Gregorys blog. She designs for Swirlydoos and has matching butterflies you can download and print out for your kit. I think these were from last months kit tho..but their fab!!

So here are the lyrics/journaling I did on this layout...

Your baby blues
So full of wonder
Your curly cues
Your contagious smile.

And as I watch
You start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight

Knowing..

Clouds will rage
And storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Story books full of fairy tales
Of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You'll someday see the truth from lies

Knowing clouds will rage
And storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Because I will always
Always love you

For my next lo, I am trying to finish up some of my daughters fairy pics. It's a lot more simple and I didn't put alot of details into it. But here it is..I did make the fairy charm and on the butterfly I used Glossy Accents. I also used some Prima Pearls which I Glimmer Misted. The mist didn't hold up too well. but it did give it a blueish tint.

Well thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you did!! Till next time..

Happy Scrappin!!
