It's HERE!!!!

Summer has bid her farewell and the morning air is crisp as the leaves turn from greens to golds.
These are the days where weekend mornings are driving down the country lane and stopping at the Farmer's market for some apple cider as the children frolic in the pumpkin patches and tug asking if they to can have a hayride. With the Solace of Fall Flying Unicorn is proud to present to you our October Kit of the month Farmer's Market and Hayrides.

The summer-flower has run to seed,
And yellow is the woodland bough;
And every leaf of bush and weed
Is tipt with autumn’s pencil now.

And I do love the varied hue,
And I do love the browning plain;
And I do love each scene to view,
That’s mark’d with beauties of her reign.

CSI Case File 91

Hey everyone!

All this month, the CT @ Flying Unicorn has been Guest Detectives at CSI! I love doing CSI Case Files!! They are so fun and have such beautiful color palettes to work with. This case file #91 was my fave this month.

Now I got as close as I could to the colors. They don't ask they be spot on, but as close as you can get. I chose some My Minds Eye "The Sky's the Limit" Collection.

 I did lots of layering here. I think I used a total of 5 sheets..lol. I used my Lucky 8 punch on some of them. The little chipboard fence is from the STORE. I left it natural instead of treating it like I usually do. I also used some Prima and Manor House Flowers which I LOVE!! The chipboard frame is from Scrap FX and I used Stampendous Shabby White embossing powder on it..love that stuff!!

Each case file has a list of evidence you must used and guidelines for your testimony (journaling)

For my evidence in this LO I used: metal, tearing and leaves

For my testimony; there is a hidden journaling tag under the polka dot paper..Enjoy was my 'kick off' word.

I do hope you get a chance to pop over to CSI and try this case file!! There are some amazing RAK's to be won!!! And don't forget to check out what the CT has done with the Sept case files too..just click HERE to see!

Sharing September KOM Creations

Hello there!

Today I'm sharing a quick post about some of the creations I made using the new September Kit of the Month "50 Shades of Summer" from Flying Unicorn!

I love this kit! It is one of my faves so far! It is packed with beautiful papers from Kaisercraft, Melissa Frances and 13 Arts. The OTP is a Tim Holtz Assembly Clock and it was oh so fun to make!

I'll share my Clock first. I did a video sharing how I made it on Flying Unicorn's You Tube channel

I used Gesso, Dazzlerz, Lindy's Alpine Rose Mist , Scrap FX chipboard and Prima and Petaloo flowers on this clock.

Here are some close ups- I love how the texture turned out

This first LO I did, I chose to use some of the Melissa Frances papers from both the Paper Add on and the Main KOM.

The triangle mask that is in the kit is awesome and I used Studio 490 Embossing Paste for texture. The butterflies is actually a die cut from a previous kit that I use as a mask. I love the Ingvild Bolme Pastel Violet Chalk that's in the Embellishment Add on. It's just so pretty on paper!

This next LO I did for my Time Flies Challenge in the Flying Unicorn Forum.

The last one is one I'm not too sure if I am crazy about..it was one of those times where you had a good idea..and it went totally in a different direction! I know you know what I mean..I think that happens to all of us one time or another..lol

I chose the Kaisercraft True Romance, Daydream and Faithful papers along with some Melissa Frances "At First Blush" paper.

I started by using some of the Fabric Paper from the Embellishment Add On Kit and cut a circle out for the background. I then used embroidery floss to design a grid on that. Now that I look at it, I should of not used the mask I used..I would of chosen a different one...but I did use Studio 490 Embossing Paste and some Tutti Frutti Dazzlerz with my Prima Mask.

 Flying Unicorn does not require you to sign up for a membership to be able to get a kit-so be sure to grab yours before they are gone!

Thanks for stopping by!
