Websters **Spring Market**

Hi Scrapping Friends!

Thanks for stopping by and if you're looking for the giveaway..just scroll down to the next post!

I did a couple lo's using Websters new line Spring Market. One I did for a challenge at Inspire Me, hosted by Gerry Van Gent which you can find HERE.

It was to make a layout using a shaped background. I used Martha Stewarts Garden Gate punch around the edging and it wasn't easy to get the corners to match. They're still not perfect, and I really wish this punch was an "Around the Page" punch. It would of been so much easier.I did some cutting out of 2 other papers from the same line and added my Prima flowers. Pretty simple layout. Actually I don't even think I inked this at all..which is odd for me. I always use ink.

For the next one, I used the vellum sheet that came with the kit, and placed it over a sheet of another piece of the pattern paper. Used my new Ornamental Iron Cricut cartridge to cut a small gate which I added to the bottom of the pic, took some white trim I had and used some Glimmer Mist on it to color it green, and then added my flowers around it. I also used some butterflies that I cut from the new Bo Bunny Gabrielle line.

Don't forget about my Spring Cleaning Giveaway..winner to be announced on April 1st! Thanks again for popping over and till next time..Happy Scrappin!

Love Prima Layout and Swirly Mini

I am SO happy and overjoyed that my grandson has finally graced us with his presence. I know his mom never thought he'd get here, but he came into the world on March 9th and has changed all of our lives for the better! He is the most adorable, love bug and we all love him so very much!

So of course, as soon as his mom texted me his first outfit pic in the hospital, I just had to scrap it!

I used new Prima paper and goodies from the Reflections Collection for this layout. My favorite LSS Scrap Trap just got this line in!! I got the idea to paint the Prima felt piece/fence idea from Ingvild Bolme Sweet Little Angel LO.  I dabbed the brown piece with Snow White Dabber Paint before cutting it in half. Look at her example HERE. It is truly beautiful!!

I added a little Tim Holtz Prince Crown, Prima Flowers, and some Tim Holtz Grungeboard hinges, and a Dusty Attic fence which I cut in half and dabbed with the white paint.
I also have been working on a Kaisercraft mini album for the little guy! When my son was little, his favorite thing to do was to dance with me to some Frank Sinatra or Harry Connick Jr, so I wanted to incorporate a song in this album somewhere for my son's new baby boy. I won't add them all because they're still a few pages I want to add some finishing touches on..but here it is.

The cool thing about this album is that all the paper and some other goodies are from left over kits from Swirlydoos! Awesome that I could use left over paper from different kits and it still blended so well!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend and get creative!! Happy Scrappin!

~Beautiful Life LO and the Loss of the Mojo~

I have just a few more pictures of my niece's wedding that I'm trying to finish up. I actually wasn't feeling very inspired to scrap today, but as with most, when you're feeling that you've lost your mojo, you go browsing around your favorite galleries and blogs. So as I was browsing, I saw this layout by one of my fave scrappers, Ingvild Bolme called "Magnificent Spring"..so beautiful!! You can find it HERE.

Of course I had to use my new Swirlydoos Kit "Caberet"!! I love the Moulin Rouge line from Prima. Most of the other goodies on the page are from my stash tho.
I painted my Dusty Attic lamppost with Snow White Dabber Paint..embossed my postal stamp and used different colored inks for the rest of the stamping.

I know mine is not as pretty and detailed as Ingvild's, but I just think it's so nice that we scrappers can go browsing and get inspired by some of our faves. If you want some good blogs to check out, look at my sidebar..they're all great, inspiring, and talented scrappers that will get your mojo flowing!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Till next time, Happy Scrappin!

Swirlydoos "Cabaret" Kit

I know I say this all the time..but this new kit "Cabaret" from Swirlydoos is my favorite so far!! (until the next one comes I'm sure) It's filled with new Prima's Moulin Rouge papers!! I am totally loving this line! It's perfect for some of my Roaring 20's pics from a party I went to for work.
I used the stamp that came with the kit on some background paper underneath where I stitched. I had a vine from a previous Swirly kit that I cut up and used, along with a few flowers from my stash.

For my next LO I did a photo of my daughter. I hand stitched around the design on the paper, and used Chipped Sapphire distress ink around the edges for softness.
Here are some close ups:

I also got the project kit and made a cute little chest of drawers by Kaisercraft

Thanks for stopping by!! I'm planning on having a give away sometime this month to celebrate Spring!! So keep your eyes open! Till next time..Happy scrappin!
