Stamp It! Challenge at Pages in Time

I did this LO for a challenge I started at Pages in Time. The challenge is to use 3 different stamps on your lo. And to use stamping in a different or unique way. Not just on your paper. Here is what I came up with;

I used pop up glue dots to make the birds stand out. Cut those out of another matching pp. I stamped the entire background and stamped 'love' on the photo. I also stamped the bottom right corner and colored it. You get extra points for coloring!

If you would like to join us in the challenge, we would LOVE to have you!! Just click HERE.  I'll be giving a small RAK away for the random drawing of all participants. Also, watch for another RAK giveaway on my blog soon!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin!

Vintage Challenge at Pages in Time!!

Check out the Vintage Clipart Challenge at Pages in Time!

The challenge is to find a free vintage clipart photo that you like to use in a LO or other project. I have always wanted to do a lo of Marie Antoinette. She is one of my favorite people in history. I simply think she is elegant and poised and held onto her grace until the day she died. I got all the yummy Websters Goodies at the store at PIT. If you have never tried this pp before, I highly recommend them.

The journaling of my lo reads:

Ever since I was a child, I have been intrigued by this woman.
Married at such a young age and put into the position of Queen of France,
She was expected not be a child, but a woman. A woman who had really no idea how to run a country.
People were Enchanted by her beauty and charm.
Her love of music was well known and she was an expert at playing the harp.
Though her husband paid her no mind, and her mother criticized her constantly,
Marie Antoinette kept her grace about her. Despite what history has taught us,
"Let them eat cake" was actually never proven to be spoken by her.
She was accused of treason during the French Revolution and found guilty.
She kept her poise to the very end. Her last words were to the executioner as
She accidentally stepped on his foot on her way up to the guillotine.
"Pardon me Sir, I meant not to do it." She was only 37 years old.

A few close ups. I used lace to make somewhat of a flower which I place the Websters Silhouette on.

Supplies used on this LO;

Websters Postcards from Paris pp and overlay
Websters Postcards from Paris Silhouettes and Alpha cardstock
Black embossing ink
Tim Holtz Clear embossing ink
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany
Tim Holtz blending tool
Prima Say it in Pearls Butterfly Swirls in blue
I printed out an old music sheet, inked it with Vintage Photo ink and used it for the background of the photo

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin!!

LO of the Week @ Pages in Time

As part of the DT team at Pages in Time, I get the honor of choosing a LO of the week. (We all do this on a rotating schedule). The LO gets featured over at PIT and I also wanted to feature it here on my blog to share this wonderful artist with you all.

For this week's LO/Altered Item I chose,

Well Christmas has come and gone and a New Year has begun. I hope and pray everyone has a wonderful New Year and may it be filled with love and blessings!

During the hustle of opening presents on Christmas morning, there really is never enough time to snap some photos of the event. I did however manage to capture a few of the darlings opening up their gifts. Everyone seemed happy, got what they wanted, etc..But the best thing is my ds was home for Christmas!!

I got inspired to do a Christmas LO browsing the Gallery at Pages in Time. Quite a few gorgeous LO's there.
Debbie Burns, Barbara Lochridge, Amarilys, and Angela Holt's just to name a few!! So here is what I've done with the few pic I did get of those precious faces Christmas Morning:

The journaling just tells about how each darling got what they wanted for Christmas;
I used Christmas Red Stickles to brighten up the BG Chipboard Letters.

Supplies used;

Currant Distress Ink
Christmas Red Stickles
Graphic 45 Christmas Past pp
Bo Bunny St.Nick Cut outs
