Challenge Layouts at Flying Unicorn!
Hey scrapping friends!!
It's been awhile since I've done any blogging as work has been crazy busy! But today I want to share some CT work I did for some challenges at Flying Unicorn!!
This first layout I did for Shona's Circle Challenge in the Flying Unicorn Forum. I used Prima Songbird, chpboard, and Manor House, Prima and Flying Uni flowers from the Flying Unicorn Store. Butterfly from Lisa Gregory's files. It's a pic of my Grandson in a "Not so Happy" moment when we took him for pictures..I just love this photo!!
I painted the chippie with Sea Kelp Glimmer Glaze and then rubbed some Gesso on it here and there.
I used Scrabble Tiles for part of my title and Liquid Pearls in Bisque to outline the circles.
Here are a few more close ups:
This next layout is for Alda's Pick your Bouquet challenge. I used papers from Meg's Garden available at the STORE. I love this paper..it's so gorgeous..and so hard to cut into or cover up!! I made this one more simple as I wanted to show how beautiful this paper truly is!! I highly suggest heading over to the store and grabbing it off the shelves!!
I had bought some rub on quotes at Michaels years ago and finally put one of them to use. I put the first part of the quote around the edge of the doily....
And the other part right underneath the photo...
"If your love was a grain of sand,
Mine would be a universe of beaches"
Well thanks for stopping by today!!! Hope you have a creative week!

7 Dots and Prima-CT Work
Hey scrappers!
Due to my busy schedule these last couple weeks, I have had no time to scrapbook! But now that it's over (for now) I have been trying to get caught up on my scrapping!
Today I'm sharing a couple CT layouts I did. This first one is of me and my grandson at the park. (photo by Erin Romans Photography). I based it on a sketch by CT member Maggi and did some Gesso stamping that my scrappy sister Shona taught me. Thanks Shona!! I also did this for a member challenge in the FORUM. I used 7 Dots Dreamer Collection, Dusty Attic, Manor House and Prima Flowers all from the Flying Unicorn Store.
I had a Dusty Attic frame and Vine which I cut up to use.
I used Gesso on my brick stamp and liked the look of it..very cool texture!
I love the little banner tags everyone has been using lately...I'm hooked on those as well these days. I'd like to blame Shona for that :p
For the next one I used Prima Nature Garden, flowers and embellie. Also from the store.
Did distressing and layering and some masking. I love this picture of my grandson...he's just so precious!!
For the circle I used a tute from Lisa Gregory, although I can never get mine straight!! I got the idea for the doilys peeking out from one of Gabi's new layouts. (such a cute idea). Here are some close ups:
Thanks for stopping by today!! Don't forget about our Flower Fantasy happening all month at the Flying Unicorn Forum!!! Come by and check out some flower tutes, awesome challenges and giveaways from our sponsor, Manor House Creations!!!
Hope you find some time to get creative this week!!!

Manor House and Flying Unicorn!!
The Flying Unicorn is very proud to be one of the few US retailers carrying Manor House Creations flowers and this month we've joined together to bring you our month long Flower Fantasy! What could be a more perfect embellishment for your craft project than a perfect Manor House bloom? There will be four week-long challenges in May, featuring, what else but FLOWERS! Manor House is graciously providing RAKS for a randomly selected winner each week.
This week is card week. CT member Laura, and myself have joined up to do some awesome inspiration to share to get your mojo flowing.
I made this card using ScrapCake papers and Manor House flowers. It's a Flowerpot card and it has a pull out tag for your message. I got the template for the flower pot HERE.
I hope you pop on over and join us for our Flower Fantasy Challenges all month long!!
