Totally Gorgeous~ Swirlydoos August kit

I am loving the new Shabby Ambition (August) kit from Swirlydoos!! It is packed with the most beautiful paper and goodies. I am glad I added the extra paper pack too cause I can't get enough of this Prima paper that I used for this new layout.

Now I'm not going to go into lots of detail on this cause I really am an a hurry to get back to my kit and do some more layouts!! I can say the only thing I used from the kit is the gorgeous paper!! The rest was mostly stuff from my stash. I added fabric for the background, glimmer misted the pp, made some of the flowers with the extra paper using the wonderfully talented Lisa Gregory's Retro flower technique. Super easy to make and uber cute! Here are some close ups of the layout. I should mention..the model happens to be dd's bf and we did a little photo shoot where bf was Victoria..the vampire from Twilight, and my dd was a fairy.
Well thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll get busy creating this weekend! Till next time..Happy Scrappin!

Adie's Mini wedding album~Graphic 45 Romantique papers

Hey there scrappin friends!

I just finished up a mini purse album using Graphic 45's Romantique line. This album was supposed to be for my friend Adie's bridal shower pictures, but it quickly turned into a mini wedding album for her to hold a few pics.
Now I'm not real sure she is going to like this, as I know my work is way to "busy" for some..lol but, if she doesn't I do have a plan b for it. I will use it to add wedding pictures of my friends who are and have gotten married lately. But I do hope she likes it! I made most of the flowers and leaves using a technique from an amazing scrapper buddy, Lisa Gregory. She has wonderful techniques!!!
Since there are so many pics, I'll keep my descriptions short. I tried to put alot of detail in this album...so enjoy!
For this page I made a fold out section just for fun, using a line from their wedding song.
I used Glossy Accents on the butterflies and other paper embellies to make them sturdy.
Well that's all the pages in this mini! Thanks for stopping by and till next time..Happy Scrappin!

"Friends"

I have so many awesome pictures of my dear friend Adie's bridal shower, so I had to start working on them. This is the first one I did. It's me, and my beautiful friends Kelcie and Adie. Her theme was Pinkalicious so of course I had to use pink and Prima has the perfect paper for it. Which I got from Snobby Walrus, one of my favorite online stores. It does have more red than pink I think but you can really bring out the pink by using embellies and flowers in the shade you want.

I made some of the pink flowers and Glimmer Misted them using the same technique I mentioned in my last post. The leaves were cut out using my Cricut and inked them with Pesto Alcohol ink, crinkled them up a little for some dimension. Used Ruby Slippers Stickels to make my own "bling" and cut out a corset picture and used Glossy Accents on it.

I had a die cut frame from Dusty Attic, which was from one of my most fabulous Swirlydoos kits. I misted that as well, and added some little personal touches, the A for Adie, the shoe (used Glossy Accents on that too) because Adie is such a fab fashionista...and the clock for the great time we had!!

Can't wait to get started on more. I'm making a purse mini album of most of the pictures which I will upload when I'm done. Thanks for stopping by...and till next time Happy Scrappin!!

~Some Websters Projects~

I love Websters papers...they are so pretty and made of such good quality. I have to admit it is hard to cut into them due to that fact! Anyway..been working on these for awhile. I made this mini album using a variety of Websters papers. It's an album for my girls. Just have to put in the right photos. I LOVE making mini albums..they're so fun. I didn't take pictures of all the pages, but here are a few including the cover. Which is my fave.

I did the next two layouts stuck while stuck in a mojo funk as I like to call it. Don't you hate when that happens?? lol

The first one is a picture of our family friend with her friends horse. I love this photo. The tan and green cottage rose/flowers were made using a technique I watched at Angela Holt's webcast/blog. They really are fun to make and easy to do!! I believe she got it from Vicky's blog at Simply Paper.
For the next one, I went a bit overboard, but it was fun anyway. These are of my darling daughter and I wanted to use Websters but try to make it a bit fun. Not sure if I have accomplished that task, but ah well.
I'm all about texture, and dimension. I cut out the bird on the left out of another piece of Websters, and tucked it in. Added some burlap and used the ribbon technique I have seen at Gabrielle Pollacco's  and Lisa Gregory's blogs. Two of my favorite artists.
Well I am off to see if I can get my mojo back. I'd love it if you took time to visit the blogs I mentioned. They are all filled with such great ideas and beautiful projects. Thanks for stopping by and till next time..Happy Scrappin!!

Dream~July kit from Swirlydoos

I am absolutely in love with the July kit from Swirlydoos!

I have been doing alot of pics of my daughter..mainly because that's all I have, and secondly because she is so missed while she is on vacation in California.

For this layout I used some copper to cut the sign using Tim Holtz's die cuts for Sizzix. I then used a rub on that was included with the kit, to it..strung some twine through the holes and tied it in the back. I also used Sand Glimmer Mist for some of the flowers (Color Me Crazy) and the little pink flowers with the pink gems are also included in the kit. The beautiful stick pin is from last months Swirlydoos kit. Some distressing and inking to go along with it, and used my Cricut to cut out the hinges.

Well I am glad you stopped by! Hope your weekend is blessed and keep your eyes open because I am almost ready to do a blog giveaway! (I've been stockpiling up some goodies)

Till next time, Happy Scrappin!
