Vintage Challenge at Pages in Time!!

Check out the Vintage Clipart Challenge at Pages in Time!

The challenge is to find a free vintage clipart photo that you like to use in a LO or other project. I have always wanted to do a lo of Marie Antoinette. She is one of my favorite people in history. I simply think she is elegant and poised and held onto her grace until the day she died. I got all the yummy Websters Goodies at the store at PIT. If you have never tried this pp before, I highly recommend them.

The journaling of my lo reads:

Ever since I was a child, I have been intrigued by this woman.
Married at such a young age and put into the position of Queen of France,
She was expected not be a child, but a woman. A woman who had really no idea how to run a country.
People were Enchanted by her beauty and charm.
Her love of music was well known and she was an expert at playing the harp.
Though her husband paid her no mind, and her mother criticized her constantly,
Marie Antoinette kept her grace about her. Despite what history has taught us,
"Let them eat cake" was actually never proven to be spoken by her.
She was accused of treason during the French Revolution and found guilty.
She kept her poise to the very end. Her last words were to the executioner as
She accidentally stepped on his foot on her way up to the guillotine.
"Pardon me Sir, I meant not to do it." She was only 37 years old.

A few close ups. I used lace to make somewhat of a flower which I place the Websters Silhouette on.

Supplies used on this LO;

Websters Postcards from Paris pp and overlay
Websters Postcards from Paris Silhouettes and Alpha cardstock
Black embossing ink
Tim Holtz Clear embossing ink
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Aged Mahogany
Tim Holtz blending tool
Prima Say it in Pearls Butterfly Swirls in blue
I printed out an old music sheet, inked it with Vintage Photo ink and used it for the background of the photo

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrappin!!
