Explosion Box Challenge

Ok..before  you judge, be aware that this is my first ever attempt to making an Explosion Box..lol. I did this for Alda's (another DT member at Pages in Time) Explosion Box Challenge. The boxes are really cute and I did have fun learning how to make it, tho I did have some trouble with the edges..as you will notice in the pictures. I used Graphic 45 Communique pp for the whole thing. I may add some lace or other goodies after I add the pictures. I am waiting for our Staff party at my work to take pics. Our theme is a Roaring Twenties/Speakeasy theme and the pics will be PERFECT for this box.

Ok here is the box as a whole:


These next photos are the layers and a few close ups. This is where you'll see the mishaps of the edges..have to work on that. If you have any tips about that..please leave them for me!!

Products used were just G45 Communique pp and Tim Holtz Distress inks in Black Soot, Vintage Photo and Fired Brick.

  2. Gorgeous explosion box, Denise!!! And BTW, what mishaps? Okay...I know I'm old, but is my eyesight failing me too?!!! LOL - Seriously, it's gorgeous!!! I love it & love that you used G45 pp ...my fave as well!!!
