I joined Swirlydoos monthly kit club! I love their kits and what they have in them. The most gorgeous paper and embellies to go with! This is my first layout using the May kit from SD. Talk about awesome stuff! This is what I came up with. I redid one of my pics from our 1920's party. I thought the pic and the pp went beautifully together!
I used the ribbon technique I got from Gabrielle Pollacco's blog most of the inspiration for this is from her and Lisa Gregory's work.
I used some Crackle Accents on a picture I cut out from a vintage book I have after I colored it with CM markers.
I made the red flower out of some ribbon..and here are a few more close ups..
Well thanks for stopping by!! Till next time..Happy Scrappin!!

New Paper Bag Album
I've been so so busy with work, having a sick child and being sick myself that it seemed as if I had no time to scrap. My scrappin friend Maggi challenged everyone over at Sisterhood of Scrap to a PBA (Paper Bag Album) Challenge. I just had to join in on that one! Love mini albums!
I made this one for my dear friend Tanys. Actually she's like a daughter to me and her parents are wonderful friends....we are all more like family. Tanys takes great photos and does fab editing, so I decided to give this to her.
The cover is my fave. I used UTEE on the hinges after inking them with Rust Alcohol ink. I made the large maroon flower..using the technique from Lisa Gregory's blog. I love the little Jesus fish charm too. It's so Tanys.
For the first page, I made a flower out of twine. Saw it somewhere but can't remember who I got the idea from! But hers was really cute. I think it may have been Ingrid on sb.com?? I used Grungeboard butterfly wings, covered in Picket Fence Crackle paint.
Some other pages. Has a pocket with a pull out tag that she can write her fav things on.
Loved using some more Grungeboard. I really like to use alot of elements and textures. I thought maybe this album could of had more, but I wanted to also keep it simple enough so she'd like it.
I also used some really pretty netting from a nice RAK from Maggi.
And some more handmade flowers from coordinating pp.
Well...I'm glad you stopped by and took the time to check it out! Hope you all get some inspiration from something I've shared with you.
Have a great week and till next time...Happy Scrappin!!

I made the pink gingham flowers using techniques shared by both Alda in her Technique Tuesday Group at PIT and also from Gabrielle Pollacco's blog. Both are wonderful at sharing how to make beautiful flowers!!
I used my new Serenade cartridge to make the tree and swirl. Which I covered with Pesto Distress Alcohol Ink.
I hope you consider joining us for the Thursday Sketch Group!! You can also check out the sketches every week at the PIT Blog.

Cards for Lennon~Please help!!
This post has to be the most important one I've written thus far. So please read on.
Most of you know Karen who owns Pages in Time. I am just one of the Design Team members for her.
The Design Team at PIT is like a small family and when something affects one of us, it seems to affect us all....which is the meaning behind this post.
The other day, maybe it was yesterday, Karen shared with us that her little 3 1/2 yr old grandson, Lennon, is battling 3 cancerous brain tumors. Lennon has fought off this horrible disease before, but when he went for his MRI and check up, they found them. Lennon's Dr's have only given him a 20% chance to live..20%. Could you imagine if this was your child? Someone close to you? I can't.
The DT family is starting a project, "Cards for Lennon" I don't know if any of you have seen the movie "Miracle of the Cards" which is a true story, but it shows what just a card can do to make someones day. Just to know someone is thinking about you, praying for you, giving you hope is a blessing in itself.
We would love to have you join us in lifting Lennon's spirits!! Please take the time to make, or pick up a card while your at your local store...just to say hi to Lennon..let him know people are praying for him and there is love and hope in the world. Let us ask God that Lennon be in that 20% of survivors!!!
You can send your cards to:
Amanda and Lennon Hunt
5649 South 31st Street Apt 5
Lincoln NE 68516
I truly hope you take the time to touch this little boys life. It would be greatly appreciated by his family.

New layout using KaiserCraft's Gypsy Sisters pp
I love this pp from KaiserCraft. It's called Gypsy Sisters. When I saw it at my LSS (the Scrap Trap in Jamestown ND) I bought 2 of every page! I thought it would be perfect for some of my 1920's pictures.
Thought I'd do a quick layout to share. This one is of me and my husband. When we came out of the bedroom after getting ready, my daughter said "Wowza"! So I thought it an appropriate title. This LO is totally inspired by Gabrielle Pollacco's work. (tho not as good as hers) I got the threaded ribbon idea using one of her techniques. She has a tutorial on it if you'd like to see it. Click here and it will take you there.
Of course..some close ups. I used the circle shaped cut outs from the small paper pad, to make some of the flowers. The rest I just bought at Wal Mart.
Thanks for stopping by!! If you're looking for inspiration for scrapbooking, join us at Pages in Time!! It's filled with lovely layouts and fun people.
Till next time..Happy Scrappin!!
