Flying Unicorn Kit and Product Creations
Hey everyone!
Hope everyone is doing good! As for me, I've been super busy at work, broke my big toe, and spending time attending my daughters basketball games.
I'm just making a quick post to share some projects with you all using the February Kit of The Month and other products from Flying Unicorn.
This first one is from the kit. It's the Off the Page Project that came with it. A 12x12 canvas and it was super fun to make! I used Gesso and Dylusions Mists in Lemon Zest, Lime and Bubblegum Pink for the background. The vine chippie is new in the store and it's from Twiddleybitz.
These next few are made using the Feb kit "Celebrate Every Love". The kits are always packed with such awesome papers, embellishments, flowers..you name it! This month we had Kaisercraft Forget Me Not collection, Authentique Lovely papers, Bella J'adore papers, Prima, mist, watercolor pencils, black gesso and so much more!!!
The next one I want to share is one I made with new Kaisercraft 75 Cents papers from the Flying Unicorn.
I used black gesso mixed with molding paste for the masking and misted the background paper with Lime Dylusions mist. I love Dylusions!! Flying Unicorn also has a nice selection of Chipboard items such as Dusty Attic, Scrap FX, Kaisercraft, and Twiddleybitz!! I also did this one for CT member Adrienne's Black Accents Challenge in the Flying Unicorn Forum.
This last one is done using Kaisercraft Base Coat Collection in Brick and Rock. Lots of Gesso on the background as it didn't turn out like I had planned and I had to think fast and cover it up..lol. Made for CT Member Shona's Hearts Challenge!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are getting creative this week! If you need some inspiration or fun challenges to join, pop on over to the FORUM and hang out with us! We'd love to have you!!!

January Off the Page!
Hey scrappers!
I just want to share with you all the January Off the Page project from Flying Unicorn.
The OTP was a box and mini album and it was SO fun to put together!!
I loved the Magnolia papers that came with the OTP and used those as my background papers for the album.
I painted the box with sky blue paint and white washed it with some Gesso. I didn't get a good enough pic of the top of the box to share with you..sorry about that!
On the cover I used Magnolia papers, Prima resin piece, gesso, flowers and Liquid Pearls in Platinum to outline the edges.
For the inside pages, I not only used the Magnolia papers but the cute Fancy Pants Country Boutique and some Pink Paislee Portfolio papers, tags and embellies. Here is a look at the inside pages
I always make sure to make pockets and tags in my mini's in case there is something memorable to write down.
I hope you enjoyed this month's OTP from the Flying Unicorn January kit "Carpe Diem"! I know I did! Just a reminder, we reveal our monthly kits now on the last day of the month prior. So February's kit will be revealed on January 31st at midnight EST!!!! And don't forget that Flying Unicorn is more than just a kit club! The STORE is always getting in the latest and greatest items and soon will be stocking up with new CHA goodies!!

We Have Grown!!!
We are excited to introduce the new members to the
Flying Unicorn Creative Team
I'm
Cynthia, and I
am a scrapbooking addicted artist. I have been scrapbooking for six years. In
fact, I love this Art because I can still learn some new mixed media techniques
everyday and it provides me to express myself in style, mixing paper,
embellishments, colors, memories and a message. So, scrapbooking to me is not
only a way to preserve my memories but, it's the way I do Art. I love papers.
One of my life's little pleasures is to cut, tear and distress them, creating
anything that translates the story. My style is eclectic, crafty. I also love
shabby and vintage styles.I love to create my own embellishments and I love all
the themes in my pages. I love texture, sewing, painting and love to distressing
my works.I love to make my own embellishments. My philosophy is "Create with
love and with passion and mostly make scrap with that reflect your heart and
inspiration!
Hi!! My name is Erica Houghton. My husband
and I live outside of Washington DC in Stone Ridge, Virginia. When I’m not
working or sitting in traffic ;) you can find me in my scrapbook room creating,
or cropping and teaching classes at my local scrapbook store.
I’ve been scrapbooking for 7-8 years but have
recently become more intentional about making time to scrapbook. I’m hopelessly
addicted to patterned paper so I’ve resorted to using lots of layers in order to
use all of the wonderful papers that come in each collection. I never feel my
pages are complete until I’ve added flowers, machine stitching, and usually LOTS
of bling – I love glitter, rhinestones, and anything else that has glitz,
glamour and a lot of sparkle. I mostly make 12x12 layouts but have expanded my
interest into card and tag making, along with a mini album every now and
then.
My name is MarÃlia Lopes , a scrapbooking addicted
artist from Brazil. I have been scrapbooking for years. In fact, I love this Art
because I learn every day more techniques and it provides me to express myself
in style, mixing paper, embellishments, colors, memories and a
message.
So, scrapbooking to me is not only a way to
preserve my memories but, it's the way I do Art.

The most I love is layers....I really enjoy
that.

We
welcome our new Creative Team Members to the Flying Unicorn family and
are so excited to show you soon new creations, designs

Studio 75 Now Available at Flying Unicorn!
Hey everyone!
I'm so excited to let you all know about Studio 74 collections now available at the Flying Unicorn store!!
I love the colors and quality..amazing!!
For this first LO I used Sweet Home collection for this LO. I punched, distressed and layered my papers first. I used Sweet Home #1, #2 and #3. I know it's not my usual style..but I didn't want to cover up the paper too much so you can see how soft and pretty the colors are!
For the DA Chipboard piece, I used Bubblegum Pink Dylusions Spray, and then painted the top piece white. I dried using my heat tool and then used my script stamp and black ink to stamp on it.
We have a GREAT new weekly tutorial that will be posted every Wednesday in the Forum. Our WCYDW (what can you do Wednesday) will get your creative juices flowing!!! I made the hot pink flowers using CT member Tammy's Daisy Tutorial which you can find HERE. They were super fun to make!
Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you hop on over and check out our new WCYDW Tutorials!!! They are going to be so fun!!
Happy Scrappin!

Carpe Diem-January Kit @ Flying Unicorn
Hi Scrapping Friends!!
I just want to share with you a couple of lo's I did using the January kit "Carpe Diem" from Flying Unicorn!
This kit is packed with Pink Paislee, Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, and so much more! The add ons are amazing and I really liked playing around with the little banners and envelopes in the Embellishment kit and of course the masks!!!
This first LO I did was fun to make..I LOVE this photo of my nephew and I chose some Basic Grey papers to use with it.
Aren't the little banners and envelopes not the cutest?! I chose some flowers from the main kit along with the Prima Vine from the Flower Add On I distressed and layerd, and used scraps of paper to add on top of the main piece. I also have a large lid and swabbed some paint on it to make my circles. I framed the little man using one of the circles too for detail. And of course..I'm not a perfect paper puncher sometimes! lol I like the shabby look it gives. The Bo Bunny flowers were some of my faves to work with!
This next LO I chose to use some more BG sheets. I chose Peacock and Half Penny to work with. I did some layering, and stamping behind the picture. I also used the little TA Masks included in the Embellishment kit. I made the blue flowers out of the cardstock from the cardstock add on as well. I always like to have extra cardstock on hand..there is SO much you can do with it!! I forgot to take close ups of the LO! Such a dork!! lol I also used Diamond Dust on the vine and flowers to get a snowy effect
This last one I'll share is a pic of my beautiful neice's baby girl...little sister to the little man in the first lo. I am not sure I'm 100% happy with this LO but ah well..that is the way it goes..lol
My bird bath is crooked..lol but I do love the effect the Aged Embossing Enamel has on the chipboard!
Well thanks for taking a peek...I hope you got a chance to grab one of the fabulous kits! I just got my February kit..and omgosh..it's SO me! I can't wait to show you! I will be sharing my January OTP later this month!
Happy Scrappin!
